It’s those cold winter days that always weigh heavy in my mood. It’s those cold winter days that always make me think about the cold in people’s hearts. We leave in a crazy era, where everyone is in a hurry, everyone is stressed and everyone is very social, but through all the “social media”. We have lost the human touch and we have forgotten the human warmth.
Just think about it! How simple it is to just say “good morning” to the first person you will see in the morning, without even knowing him. How simple it is to smile and thank the girl who served your coffee. How simple it is to say “don’t worry, it’s ok” to the cashier at the market, when she is desperately trying to scan a product, the scanner is not working and everyone is just complaining, as if it’s her fault. It’s those simple little everyday things that sometimes make all the difference! It’s those simple little everyday things that can really warm our days!
Just try to remember the most important thing that Jesus said: treat everyone in the same way you would like them to treat you! “Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself”. We live in a cruel world. Let’s try to make our everyday lives easier. Let’s be more human. Let’s warm our hearts!
