6 easy homemade face masks

We are so used to going to the store and buying our cosmetics. Facial creams, facial cleaners and toners, body lotions, scrubs, face masks, etc. Or we may go online. But have you ever thought what our great grandmothers used to do? Women have been caring for their beauty since ancient times, using all kinds of natural ingredients. Well, I believe they were so much better off without all the chemical ingredients on their skin! So, let’s see some face masks made completely of 100% natural ingredients. They are super-easy to make and you can use stuff you have in your kitchen!

1. Avocado Mask

½ ripe avocado

1 teaspoon of organic yogurt

1 teaspoon of honey

Mash the avocado, add the yogurt and honey and mix them until they form a paste. Apply to your face and leave for 10-15 minutes. Rinse with lukewarm water. This is a great moisturizing mask!

2. Yogurt Mask

1 tablespoon of organic yogurt

1 teaspoon of lemon juice

1 teaspoon of olive oil

Mix all the ingredients together, apply to your face, leave for 10-15 minutes and then rinse with water. This mask will clean and refresh your face.

3. Egg white Mask for oily skin

1 egg white

1 teaspoon of orange juice

½ teaspoon of turmeric powder

Mix all the ingredients, apply to your face and leave for 15 minutes or until it’s dried. Rinse off with water. This mask will clean your face and tighten your pores.

4. Banana Mask

½ banana

1 tablespoon of orange juice

1 tablespoon of honey

Mash the banana and then add the other ingredients. Apply to your face and leave for 15 minutes. Rinse with lukewarm water. You will get a healthy, glowing skin.

5. Papaya Mask

1 cup of mashed ripe papaya

2 tablespoons of honey

Mix them together and apply for 15-20 minutes. Then rinse with lukewarm water. A great mask for discolored skin!

6. Brown sugar Mask

2 tablespoons of brown sugar

2 tablespoons of coconut oil

Mix them together to form an all-natural scrub. Apply to your face in circular motions, gently scrubbing it. Leave for a few minutes and rinse with lukewarm water. It will leave your skin clean and refreshed!

So, next time you want a face mask, visit your kitchen first! Go all natural!

  3. I used to love some of these, but I did find that they were only great on the surface. Most of these don’t sink into the skin as deep as store-bought masks. Still, they’re great if you just want to relax a bit at home.

    1. I use them often. I like the idea of applying something natural on my skin. I use store-bought masks sometimes too, but I prefer the homemade ones.
