Beauty treatments with baking soda

You have used baking soda so many times in your cooking. But how often do you use it in your everyday beauty routine? If you have no idea what I am talking about, then this article is a “must read” for you!

Here are the basic and simplest beauty treatments you can perform in your home, using baking soda:

Foot care: In a basin of warm water, blend two tablespoons of baking soda. Add a few drops of lavender oil or any other kind of essential oil that you prefer. Soak your feet for about 10 minutes. After that, scrub away all the tough calluses, using a paste made of three parts of baking soda, one part of water and one part of brown sugar. Then apply a rich lotion to your feet and wrap a warm towel around them. Wait for another 5-10 minutes and enjoy the most beautiful feet ever!

Beauty bath: Fill your bathing tub with warm water and add ½ cup of baking soda. Then take a long, relaxing bath. Enjoy a soft and smooth skin, free of irritations.

Manicure: Dip a nail brush into a paste of three parts of baking soda and one part of water. Then brush under and around your nails to remove the cuticles. Continue brushing your hands and fingers with the same paste. Rinse them with warm water and apply your nail polish and hand lotion.

Tooth care: If you want whiter teeth, put a little baking soda into your palm, dip your damp toothbrush into it and brush your teeth. Rinse your mouth well and then use your toothpaste as usual.

Facial care: Make an excellent facial scrub with baking soda! Make a paste of three parts of baking soda and one part of water. Then use it to rub your face gently. Rinse off with warm water and apply your facial cream.

Hair treatment: Put a little baking soda into your palm, together with your shampoo. Wash your hair as usual. Baking soda helps remove all residue of styling products and leaves your hair healthier and stronger.

Clean your hairbrush: What’s the point in having clean hair when you use a not-so-clean hairbrush. Fill a small basin with warm water and add 1 teaspoon of baking soda. Soak all your hairbrushes and comps for 15-20 minutes. Rinse them off with warm water. Your hairbrushes and comps are now as good as new!

Enjoy!
