My favorite motivational quotes

Life is a bumpy ride most of the times. Not every day is full of sunshine and laughs. But, hey, that’s the beauty of life! Life is an adventure, as I like to say! But on those difficult periods of our lives, we all need some motivation, we all need something to help us pull through. So, I decided to share with you my top 3 motivational quotes! They have helped me many times in my life, so, they may help you too!

1. What doesn’t kill you, makes you stronger!

WHAT DOESNT KILL YOU

You have heard it many times, I am sure! But it’s soooo true! Like most people, I have been through many difficult situations in my life. I have been betrayed many times, hurt in many ways, I’ve felt weak and helpless. I’ve seen my dreams crushed and I’ve felt like I was shot and left there to die… But every time I reminded myself that “what doesn’t kill you, makes you stronger!” And I was alive! So, I kept on going, I kept on trying to get back on my feet! It’s not easy, I am not a super woman. But I never gave up! One little step at a time. And as time passes, you are beginning to realize that you are actually stronger! Much stronger than before!

2. Don’t worry about those who talk behind your back. They’re behind you for a reason!

BEHIND YOUR BACK

I’ve faced this many times in my life, unfortunately. I still do, to be honest with you. People talking behind my back, gossiping or making all kind of false accusations. One day I was so fed up with that, when accidentally I read this quote: “Don’t worry about those who talk behind your back. They’re behind you for a reason!”. Something clicked inside me. That was so right! So, every time I am annoyed from someone talking behind my back, I don’t get mad anymore. I smile! And I move forward!

3. There is nothing impossible to him who will try! – Alexander the Great

NOTHING IMPOSSIBLE

This phrase was said by Alexander the Great, one of the greatest leaders of all times! I can’t remember if I first read it when I was a little girl, maybe so, but now it is one of my favorite quotes! There is so much truth and so much power into that quote! When I was a little girl, I believed that I could learn anything I wanted, I could do many things, if I only had the chance. I could learn to fly a plane. If someone else could do it, so could I! Why not? Growing up life taught me that if I try, I can accomplish many things. Well, becoming a pilot was not in my dreams, in case you are wondering, but I still believe that if I wanted, I could have become a pilot! All I had to do was try. All you have to do is try! Even if some things seem extremely difficult, unless you try them, you will never know if you can achieve them. And if you try hard enough, most of the times, you will get results. Hard work always pays off! And even if you don’t reach your goal, you will have learned so many things, that will help you set another goal and accomplish that! All you have to do is set aside your fears and TRY!

After all, life is an adventure!

  1. I have one by Paulo Coelho and it goes like this: ““And, when you want something, all the universe conspires in helping you to achieve it.”

Goes well with you believing you could be anything when you were little, don`t you think? 🙂

    1. Yes, when I read this quote, I felt releived! People are always envy of successful people and they try to hurt them by gossiping or by using false accusations, especially in the work environment. I have experienced it many times. Well, we should forget all about them and we should keep on marching forward! 🙂

  2. Great motivational quotes! When I work really hard on somethin for my blog and it doesn’t pan out the way I’d like, I always think of the Edison quote,”I haven’t failed. I’ve just found 10,000 ways to not make a lightbulb.” Pick yourself up and keep going. Great post!

    1. Very nice quote! Very useful to remind us that we have to get up and keep on trying, even when we fail. After all, failure is just another lesson, that makes us wiser and better!

  3. I love a good motivational quote! I love the one about them being behind you, I had never heard that before but can completely relate.

My best friend and I have a saying that we use to perk each other up “The world is your oyster, and don’t forget that everyone of us is a pearl inside it” xxx

    1. I love your saying! Yes, we all are valuable pearls, and we need to remind ourselves of that sometimes! Especially when people around us try to hurt us in many ways or a failure can sometimes make us think less about ourselves. Thank you!

  4. So many quotes! I liked them all! And I must admit, some of them, I did not know. Hmm, when it comes to this kind of quotes, there are a lot that I could list. One of the most beautiful ones that pops in my mind right now, comes from Harry Potter: “We’ve all got both light and dark inside us. What matters is the part we choose to act on. That’s who we really are.”

    1. I love your quote! Yes, we are capable of both good and bad, if I may rephrase it, it’s up to us to choose! Imagine what our world would be like if we all chose the light inside us!

      1. Thank you! I’m really happy you like it. :3 Yes, yes, we are the masters of your destiny, so we’re the ones to choose the paths we tread on~

          1. Gaah, I misspelled. I meant “our destiny”. D:

And so that I won’t leave this comment nearly blank, here’s another quote~
From Dickens’s “Great Expectations”: “So, I must be taken as I have been made. The success is not mine, the failure is not mine, but the two together make me.”

          2. Thank you for another great quote! You see, even a misspell can become a great opportunity for something good, for something positive. Everything happens for a good reason! So, we should see our glass always half full and not half empty. We should always see the positive side of things. That’s why I prefer the positive side of your drawing at your lovely post https://scribblesofacountrygirl.wordpress.com/2016/04/06/dear-roses/

    1. Thank you! 🙂 I am glad we agree on the alphabet quote. It seems to be very popular! The important thing for all of us is to keep on trying and keep on beleiving in ourselves. That’s the secret for success! 🙂

  5. I really felt on my own the meaning of your first quote what doesn’t kill you make you stronger. Everybody in their life had good and bad days or experiences. I give you another quote…every kick in the ass is a step forward. The idea is never to give up and continue and understand your life with good and bad, with ups and downs.

    1. Thank you for your quote! So true! We should never give up. We all have been through hard times, I beleive, but those times make us better persons and stronger. Life is an adventure! 🙂

  6. Such a nice collection… these all are my favorite from now! I loved that nothing impossible for him who will try!.. I think many times we just don’t do something because we are just afraid of unknown.. or sometimes we are following our own rules and just compress our inner talent to be exposed .! I completely agree that we must try ! to achieve, to pursue, to live.

    1. Hard work always gets great results. So does faith. So, we must beleive in ourselves and work hard to make our dreams come true!
