An easy and fast pasta recipe, that you can serve proudly!
Pasta is an affordable and loved food throughout the world. It’s easy and fast to cook and there are hundreds of recipes. It provides our body with essential nutrients. It gives us beneficial carbohydrates and it’s a good source of fiber. It also provides us with selenium and manganese, both very important for our health. Selenium is a mineral with antioxidant properties and it protects our cells. Manganese is a mineral that helps us metabolize carbohydrates and regulates our blood sugar. It also contains vitamin B9. If you prefer whole-wheat pasta, you can add carotenoids lutein and zeaxanthin in the nutrients you are receiving. Both of them support a healthy vision. It provides us with energy!
One of my favorite dishes is tricolor spiral pasta ala crème. You can make it in no time and you can serve it at any occasion. You can also use any kind of pasta you like, white or whole-wheat, spaghetti, tagliatelle, penne, etc.
- 250 gr tricolor spiral pasta
- 120 gr canned sliced mushrooms
- 100 gr smoked bacon
- 1 red pepper
- 250 ml sour crème light
- A little dill
- Salt / nutmeg
- Olive oil
- Grated hard cheese (For serving)
Preparation time: 5-8 minutes
Cook time: 15-18 minutes
Cut the bacon and the pepper into small pieces. Boil the pasta (al dente) and strain it. Pour a little olive oil into the pot and sauté the pepper together with the bacon for 3-4 minutes.
Make sure to stir them often, so that they don’t stick on the bottom of the pot.Add the sliced mushrooms and sauté for 1-2 minutes.
Lower the heat. Add the pasta and stir well.
Add the sour crème, a little salt, a little grated nutmeg and a little dill (I always keep some in the freezer).
Stir them well and take the pot off the heat. Your meal is ready!
You can serve it with a little grated hard cheese on top. Enjoy!
